The Netsmart 1500 Implementation Consultant will be responsible for implementing, configuring, and troubleshooting Netsmart 1500 systems.
The ideal candidate must have a strong background in Carrier over Ethernet (COE) technologies, experience with Fujitsu and Alcatel-Lucent hardware, and a deep understanding of both Layer-2 and Layer-3 networking concepts.
This role involves end-to-end configuration and deployment of Ethernet Virtual Circuits (EVCs), Ethernet tunnels, and QoS settings within complex telecom environments.


Key Responsibilities
Implement and troubleshoot Netsmart 1500 systems, with familiarity in Netsmart 500
Configure Ethernet Virtual Circuits (EVC), L2 links, Ethernet tunnels, and Logical Interfaces
Create and manage Protection Domains for protected EVCs
Build and provision Ethernet Tunnels and Flow Points
Utilize and manage EVC Provisioning Hierarchy on Netsmart 1500
Configure ETH Facilities, LAGs, and LAG Ports using Fujitsu FW CDS and Layer-3 Routers
Apply and configure QoS templates for EVCs, with knowledge of CIR, EIR, and CBS for both ingress and egress traffic
Work with PTPs and Circuit Emulation for advanced transport requirements
Perform Layer-2 and Layer-3 implementations, including OSPF routing protocol configuration and troubleshooting
Utilize Alcatel-Lucent routers (10K, 6900, 6855) for network integration



Required Qualifications
Proven experience with Netsmart 1500 implementation and troubleshooting
Hands-on experience with Carrier over Ethernet (COE) deployments
Familiarity with Fujitsu Flashwave 9500, Fujitsu CDS, and Alcatel-Lucent router platforms
Experience in creating and managing EVCs, Ethernet Tunnels, Logical Interfaces, and Flow Points
Strong understanding of EVC Provisioning Hierarchy, QoS configuration, and LAG management
Solid grasp of OSPF and other Layer-3 routing protocols
Demonstrated knowledge of circuit emulation and packet transport



Preferred Qualifications
Experience with Netsmart 500 systems
Prior work involving protected EVC configurations and advanced network performance tuning


Education: Bachelors Degree
