The CDO bears responsibility on behalf of an enterprise to
foster value creation from the use of the organization's data
assets, as well as the external data ecosystem. The authorities
include value creation through data exploitation, envisioning
data-enabled strategies as well as enabling all forms of business
outcomes through analytics, data and analytics governance, and
enterprise information policy. The CDO is the head of all
enterprise analytics, decision making affecting analytics,
directing analytics processes, and for using analytics to drive
innovation and enterprise objectives. Moreover, the CDO is the
senior-most executive with responsibility for aligning data policy
and administration with relevant regulatory, legal and ethical
mandates. Finally, the CDO will have accountability for
defining the strategies and selecting the technologies the
enterprise will use to govern and manage data. SAP
IMPLEMENTATION EXPERIENCE IS HIGHLY PREFERRED.

Define information strategy practices, lead the creation, and
assure the ongoing relevance of Avaya’s information strategy in
association with the CIO, CISO, chief strategy officer and CEO.
Drive the development and deployment of Avaya's data governance and
management platform along with Avaya’s analytics platform for
In collaboration with Product Management, provide feedback and
input into development to further Avaya’s data and analytics
functions & products. To support these endeavors, collaborate with
the CMO, CTO, CISO and CIO to assure digital products are released
on time, on budget and with high quality.
Work with board members, the CEO, the CIO, other C-level executives
to establish vision, and operational functions & processes to
govern and manage data as an enterprise asset.
Identify and standardize the use and governance of data and
analytics in support of the Avaya's business strategy. This
includes the governance of data and algorithms used for analysis,
analytical applications and automated decision making.
Institute a programmatic approach for Avaya information management
to identify, prioritize and execute the data and analytic
initiatives with clear line of sight to enterprise strategies and

areas, such as data warehousing, business intelligence (BI), data
governance, data architecture, data integration, data
classification, data strategy, data quality management, data
security and privacy, MDM, data standards, regulatory compliance,
and enterprise architecture frameworks.
A bachelor's or master's degree in business administration,
computer science, data science, information science or related
field, or equivalent work experience. Academic qualification or
professional training and experience in legal and regulatory areas
are also desirable.
