Job Description:
Interstate Waste Services, a leader in non-hazardous waste
management in the U.S. Northeast, is seeking a dedicated Manager of
Hauling Operations to oversee and enhance our hauling operations.
This role is pivotal in ensuring efficient waste collection and
transportation while maintaining compliance with environmental laws
and regulations. The manager will lead initiatives to optimize
routes, oversee fleet maintenance, and drive continuous
improvements in operational practices. Manage day-to-day operations
of waste collection and hauling, ensuring adherence to all
operational, regulatory, and safety standards. Coordinate with
other operational departments to enhance service delivery and
operational efficiencies. Develop and implement route optimization
strategies to reduce costs and improve service quality. Oversee
fleet maintenance programs to ensure all vehicles are in prime
working condition and compliant with environmental regulations.
Conduct regular performance reviews and provide training and
development opportunities to team members. Prepare operational
reports for upper management detailing performance metrics,
challenges, and action plans. Collaborate with customer service and
sales departments to address client issues and support business
growth. Strong leadership and people management skills Proficiency
in operational and route optimization software Excellent
