Job Description:

Interstate Waste Services, a leader in non-hazardous waste management in the Northeast, is seeking a dedicated Overnight Route Operations Supervisor to oversee and enhance our transportation and logistics operations during the night shift. This position is critical for ensuring that our collections and transfer operations run smoothly and efficiently, adhering to all regulatory and safety standards, while minimizing impact on the communities we serve. Oversee the scheduling, dispatching, and routing of waste collection vehicles during night operations. Monitor route progress and make real-time adjustments to ensure timely completion and optimal service quality. Supervise and support night shift employees, providing training, performance feedback, and ensuring compliance with safety standards. Coordinate with the maintenance team to ensure all vehicles are in prime working condition. Implement strategic operations improvements to reduce costs and improve efficiency. Ensure compliance with all environmental, health, and safety regulations. Handle any emergency incidents that arise during the shift efficiently and responsibly. Strong leadership and decision-making skills Excellent organizational and time management skills Profound knowledge of route planning and fleet management Effective communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work independently and handle stressful situations Medical Insurance Life Insurance 401k Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) is preferred Certification in Logistics, Transportation, or Waste Management is a plus
