Our busy law firm is growing, and we are looking for talent that works hard to represent our clients well. The prime candidate will work seamlessly with both senior partners as well as administrative staff in an effort to effectively serve our clients. We are hiring for two locations. Morristown, NJ, and Ridgewood, NJ.

Morristown is a new office with the need for a Managing Attorney:



--- The attorney must have experience from a New Jersey law practice to step in and handle pieces of existing family law cases; as well as handle new cases as part of a team, from initial consultation to trial.
--- A Partner or Sole Proprietor with a generous book of business is expected to apply.--

Ridgewood is an existing office to which we are adding an Attorney

Responsibilities:

--- Determine case strategies and solutions to serve clients' needs after analysis
--- Counsel clients by assessing options and determining the best course of action for a successful outcome
--- Get the appropriate legal documents ready for clients, such as brief, motions, and pleadings, as well as correspondence
--- Represent clients in court to argue motions during legal proceedings
--- Conduct research and draft pleadings, briefs, and motions


Qualifications:

--- Public speaking, decision-making, communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills are necessary for this role
--- Well-versed in legal research software (Westlaw/Lexis)
--- Candidates must currently be a member of their local bar association - active member preferred
--- Able to work independently while handling multiple files
--- Knowledge of Microsoft Office programs is needed
--- Current experience working in a New Jersey law firm for a minimum of 8+ years required
--- Barred in New Jersey with Experience in Matrimonial/Divorce/Family Law
--- Court Experience
--- Serving as a mediator is preferred
--- Successful completion of accredited law school with Juris Doctorate (J.D.) degree with 8 years of related experience
