Thoracic Physician Assistant | Oceanside, NY Occupation: Physician
Assistant Specialty: Cardiothoracic Surgery Description: Seeking an
experienced PA to support the open-heart surgery program in
Oceanside, New York. The role includes surgical assistance, patient
care, and collaboration with the cardiovascular team in a
fast-paced clinical environment. Responsibilities: - Assist in
cardiothoracic surgeries and vessel harvesting - Perform patient
assessments, diagnosis, and treatment planning - Order medications
and diagnostic tests - Document care using EMR systems -
Collaborate with surgeons and healthcare teams Qualifications: -
NYS Physician Assistant License & NCCPA Certification - BLS & ACLS
required - Recent OR experience (cardiothoracic preferred) - Strong
communication and teamwork skills Working Hours: Full-time –
12.5-hour flexible shifts Schedule rotation may include 2, 2N, 3,
3N, 4, or 5 shifts “N” indicates night shifts Skills: - Surgical
assistance and patient care - Critical thinking and clinical
decision-making - Team collaboration and EMR documentation Job
