registered nurse (RN) license and minimum 1 years RN experience
required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not
be considered. A Registered Nurse with operating room experience is
needed for a contract assignment in Passaic, NJ. This role requires
dedication to delivering exceptional perioperative care during
8-hour shifts, Monday through Friday from 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM. The
position also includes a mandatory on-call rotation to ensure
patient needs are met promptly. Key Responsibilities: Provide
direct and indirect patient care in the peri-operative setting for
patients spanning neonates to older adults. Collaborate closely
with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and OR staff to coordinate and
deliver safe, high-quality surgical care. Supervise OR technicians
and support personnel while maintaining professional nursing
standards. Ensure compliance with hospital policies, procedures,
and regulatory requirements. Participate in performance improvement
initiatives, unit meetings, and educational in-services. Respond to
on-call notifications and be available to report onsite within 30
minutes as part of a structured call schedule. Qualifications and
Desired Experience: Current and valid Registered Nurse (RN) license
for the state of New Jersey. Current Basic Life Support (BLS)
certification upon hire and maintain throughout employment.
Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life
Support (PALS) certificates within 30 days of hire, maintained
thereafter. Minimum of one year of perioperative nursing experience
or equivalent on-the-job training. Certified Nurse Operating Room
(CNOR) certification preferred. Bachelor of Science in Nursing
(BSN) degree preferred. Experience in both preoperative and
postoperative nursing care. Schedule & On-Call Requirements: Monday
to Friday, 7:00 AM 3:00 PM shifts. Call required: minimum 1
weeknight call per week (11 PM7 AM), no more than 2 per week.
Weekend call approximately once every 5th weekend (24-hour coverage
Saturday and Sunday). Calls handled from home via personal cell
phone, with arrival onsite expected within 30 minutes if called in.
