the Position TravelNurseSource is working with Cynet Health to find
a qualified OR RN in Passaic, New Jersey, 07055! Job Title: RN
Surgery Profession: RN Specialty: RN Surgery Duration: 13 weeks
Shift: Monday - Friday Hours per Shift: 8 hours (07:00 AM - 03:00
PM) Experience: Minimum of 1 year License: Current and valid state
RN License Certifications: Current BLS (AHA) certificate, Current
ACLS (AHA) certificate, Current PALS (AHA) certificate Must-Have:
Cardiac experience, Ability to take call Description: RN needed for
8-hour shifts from 07:00 AM to 03:00 PM. Nurse must have cardiac
experience. Call is required. Every employee is required to take
call, with a minimum of 1 time per week from 11 PM to 7 AM and a
maximum of 2 calls per week. On weekends, call will fall on once
every 5th weekend for Saturday and Sunday, 24 hours each day.
Nurses are obligated to come in within 30 minutes if called in.
Call is taken from home via personal cell phone, and the RN is not
required to be on-site. The Registered Nurse is responsible for the
delivery of direct and indirect patient care in the peri-operative
setting through the nursing process of assessment, planning,
implementation, and evaluation for all age groups. The Registered
Nurse coordinates patient care with the surgeon and
anesthesiologist. They direct and guide the OR Technician and other
personnel while maintaining professional nursing standards. The
role involves working with other departments to provide a continuum
of care for patients. The Registered Nurse is responsible for
adherence to regulations, standards, and hospital or unit policies
and procedures. Participation in performance improvement
activities, unit meetings, and in-services is required. The
Registered Nurse acts as a resource for other personnel as
appropriate. BLS, ACLS, and PALS certification is required within
specified timelines. A minimum of one year of previous
perioperative experience or on-the-job training is necessary.
Certification as a Certified Nurse Operating Room (CNOR) is
preferred. A Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) is preferred.
