$2,112 per week About The Position Job Title: RN Surgery

Monday - Friday Hours per Shift: 8 hours (07:00 AM - 03:00 PM)
Experience: Minimum of 1 year previous perioperative experience or
on-the-job training License: Current and valid state RN License
Certifications: Current BLS (AHA) certificate upon hire and
maintain current Current ACLS (AHA) certificate within 30 days upon
hire and maintain current Current PALS (AHA) certificate within 30
days upon hire and maintain current Must-Have: Must be able to take
call Certified Nurse OR (CNOR) Certification preferred Bachelor of
Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred Pre/Post Op experience
Description: RN OR needed for 8-hour shifts from 07:00 AM to 03:00
PM, Monday through Friday. Nurse must come with experience. Call is
required; no exceptions. Every employee is required to take call.
The minimum call is 1 time per week for weekdays from 11 PM to 7
AM, with a maximum of 2 calls per week. On weekends, call will
occur once every 5th weekend, covering 24 hours each day on
Saturday and Sunday. Call may change based on unforeseen
circumstances. Every RN must come in within 30 minutes if called
in. Call is taken from home through a personal cell phone; the RN
is not required to be on-site. The Staff RN is directly accountable
to the OR Charge Nurse and the Director of Surgical Services, and
indirectly to the House Supervisor. The Registered Nurse is
responsible for delivering direct and indirect patient care in the
peri-operative setting through the nursing process of assessment,
planning, implementation, and evaluation for patients of all ages.
The Registered Nurse coordinates patient care with the surgeon and
anesthesiologist. The RN directs and guides the OR Technician and
other personnel while maintaining professional nursing standards.
The RN works with other departments to provide a continuum of care
and collaborates with co-workers to ensure continuous, quality
patient care, efficient patient flow, and unit maintenance. The RN
is responsible for adherence to regulations, standards, and
hospital or unit policies and procedures. Participation in
performance improvement activities, unit meetings, and in-services
is required. The RN acts as a resource for other personnel as
