Job Description:

Maxim Healthcare Staffing is looking for a Long-Term Acute Care Nurse to provide planning and delivery of direct or indirect patient care to medically complex patients.Responsibilities:

• Provides planning and delivery of direct and indirect patient care
• Responsible for providing care to medically complex patients
• Supervises care, treatment, and services of the patient(s)
• Documents the patients plan of care using identified nursing diagnosis, expected patient outcomes and selected nursing interventions
• Maintains confidentiality at all times with patients, medical staff and co-workers
• Provides a safe, comfortable and therapeutic patient environment
• Experience in acute rehabilitation for vents, wound care, cardiac, stable post trauma patients
• Adheres to and supports the policies/procedures/goals/objectives of the hospital in an attempt to provide quality patient care Revises plan of care according to evaluation, changes in medical plan of care and nursing interventions
• Performs interventions according to identified priorities, plan of care, and the hospital policies and patient care outcome standard
• Identifies and prioritizes actions based upon patient care requirements
• Supports professional practice by observing the following: Uses knowledge and practices in accordance with the Nurse Practice Act; Joint Commission, state and local laws; and Patients Bill of Rights hospital policies
• Performs other duties as assigned/necessaryMinimum Requirements:
• Current nursing license for the state in which the nurse practices
• One (1) year nursing experience in a long term acute care facility preferred
• Ability to effectively elicit/provide information to and from appropriate individuals (including, but not limited to, supervisors, co-workers, clients) via strong communication skills; proficiency in the English language may be required
