We look for creative collaborators who evolve, adapt to change, and thrive in a fast-paced global environment.Role: India Lead and SDLC EngineerAs the India Lead and SDLC Engineer, you will be responsible for all deliverables owned by the SDLC team in India. You will work at the heart of the developer experience, ensuring the code written by thousands of GS engineers is versioned securely, reviewed expertly, compiles quickly, tests comprehensively, and is widely distributed. You will deliver CI/CD solutions supporting cloud-native development, working with cutting-edge build technology from AWS & Google, and backend languages including Java, Golang, and Python.SDLC Platforms include:

• Build / Development: GitLab, in-house developed CI tools
• Distribution: Linux and Windows software distribution systems
• Artifact Repository: Hosting software packages using Sonatype NexusResponsibilities
  • Technical ownership of proprietary in-house CI tooling for GS developers
  • Design and develop features and improvements for CI tools
  • Lead upgrade and migration initiatives, including automating dependency upgrades with AI
  • Collaborate with product management and stakeholders to maintain service quality
  • Ensure CI products are secure, tested, and high-performing
  • Diagnose and resolve technical issues within GitLab and GS ecosystemsWhat You Will Learn
    • Cloud native architectures in AWS
    • Large-scale build systems and deployment paradigms
    • Build systems like Gradle, Bazel, Make; software change management
    • DevOps, SRE, infrastructure management
    • Design and implement distributed systems
    • Partner with engineering teams on best practicesCore Skills and Experience
      • Minimum 12+ years of relevant industry experience
      • Familiarity with GitLab and cloud deployment patterns (AWS, Terraform)
      • Proficiency in at least one programming language: Java, Golang, Erlang, Python, C, or C++
      • Strong fundamentals in software engineering
      • Experience with distributed systems lifecycle, performance, and scalability
      • Experience with monitoring tools like Prometheus and Grafana
      • Knowledge of cloud and infrastructure as code tech (Docker, Kubernetes, etc.)Attitudes We Want
