Job Description Job Description A day in this role Morning arrives and you review the queue: oscilloscopes, signal generators, power supplies—each awaiting precise attention. You configure a complex test setup, referencing calibration methods, engineering specs, and schematics to dial in exact measurement conditions. As instruments come into tolerance, you capture results, compare them to historical performance, and determine the most appropriate interval before the next calibration. A new instrument has just arrived—perfect time to draft a tailored calibration procedure and bring it into service. Why this matters Accurate, reliable M&TE underpins product quality and safety. Your expertise in electronic principles and standards-driven calibration keeps every reading trustworthy and every decision informed. Core responsibilities Perform calibrations on moderately complex to complex electronic measuring and test equipment (M&TE). Build advanced calibration setups by interpreting procedures, specs, schematics, and technical references. Document results and evaluate historical trends to set/optimize calibration intervals. Diagnose issues, author calibration procedures, and calibrate newly received M&TE. Ensure compliance with national and international calibration standards using sound electronic principles.
