Embedded school day tutoring program Exact schedule: Monday -
Wednesday 7:45 am - 3:45 pm Program will run for 10 weeks, from
March 16 through May 26, 2026 (pause for spring break April 3- 10)
Hours do not exceed 6 hours per week, Paid training (2.5 hours)
Basic Function The New Jersey Tutoring Corps Inc. partners with
local school districts and community centers to provide high-impact
tutoring for pre-K through Grade 8 to close learning gaps. The New
Jersey Tutoring Corps is seeking to hire Instructional Coaches to
oversee tutor performance. The ideal candidate will be able to
strengthen academic achievement through literacy, numeracy, and
project-based STEM learning, connect academic concepts to real-life
applications, and support whole-child development through
collaboration, communication, and problem-solving skills .
Essential Functions Works with the Asbury Park district school
partner point-of-contact to develop strong relationships with the
site staff and community Train eight BGC staff members on a STEM
curriculum provided by Monmouth BGC. Training will focus on
practical implementation, classroom facilitation, and strengthening
staff confidence with hands-on STEM instruction and small-group
learning aligned to academic and social-emotional goals. Ensures
that tutors have the necessary materials needed to help scholars
succeed. Works closely with the Master Trainer and participates in
all coaching meetings with tutors. Apprise the Program Manager and
Executive Director of Programs of program issues immediately and
help work to resolve them. Review tutor performance and provide
feedback as needed. Observe tutoring sessions and provide
constructive feedback to tutors. Assist tutors with data-driven
instruction using project-based STEM learning. Provides coverage in
the absence of a tutor. Required Qualifications Bachelor’s or
Master's degree Proven coaching experience in the public or charter
school system (strongly recommended); History of overseeing the
work of others, providing feedback, and course correction when
applicable Leadership experience negotiating with administrative
faculty (a plus, not required) Standard certificate, certificate of
eligibility (CE), or certificate of eligibility with advanced
standing (CEAS) Experience teaching New Jersey Certification of
Criminal History (fingerprint form) MUST have a Gmail email address
or be willing to create a Gmail account; and experience with Google
Suite applications: Google Docs, Sheets, and Forms. Excellent
interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills and proven
ability in conflict resolution skills; Reliable transportation to
and from the work site Employer Qualifications Must adhere to local
health department and school district requirements for the site at
which you are working, including any mask rules that must be
followed if applicable. Undergo a background check for I-9
employment authorization to work in the United States. Some
knowledge of the implementation of professional growth models
