A school-based physical therapy opportunity is available in New Windsor, NY, providing services to K-12 students during the 20252026 school year. This part-time position offers a schedule of two days per week with flexibility in scheduling to accommodate the needs of the school and caseload. Key Responsibilities: Deliver physical therapy services aligned with Individualized Education Program (IEP) goals and New York State Education Department (NYSED) and Department of Education (DOE) guidelines. Assess, evaluate, and design individualized treatment plans aimed at enhancing students mobility, strength, and functional independence. Collaborate effectively with teachers, school staff, and families to promote student progress. Participate in Committee on Special Education (CSE) meetings, providing professional input and recommendations. Maintain timely and accurate documentation and progress reports in compliance with DOE and district requirements. Support the generalization of motor skills across educational and social settings. Qualifications and Experience: Masters or Doctoral degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program. Current New York State Physical Therapy license, or eligibility to obtain licensure. Prior experience in school-based or pediatric physical therapy preferred. Knowledge of CSE procedures and DOE requirements considered an asset. Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational abilities.
