Administrator Grade: 24 Salary: $87,405-$99,000 The Research
Foundation for Mental Hygiene is seeking a qualified candidate to
fill a full-time Research Administrator position. The Research
Administrator plays a pivotal role in collaboration with the Vice
Chair and Director of Research, overseeing the administrative and
managerial aspects of research at the institutional level. With a
primary emphasis on ensuring compliance within various research
domains such as the Human Subjects Research Program (HRPP) and IRB,
the Research Administrator leads the execution of research
oversight initiatives. This entails helping draft oversight plans,
responding to external agencies, maintaining databases of research
projects, tracking progress, and presenting updates to the
leadership team. Integral to this role is the efficient management
of complex organizational data to ensure the timely completion of
multiple projects. Duties and Responsibilities: Research
Oversight/Project Management: Collaborate with the Vice Chair of
Research to develop and implement oversight plans for research
activities across the institution. This would include developing
and implementing strategies to enhance the effectiveness and
efficiency of research oversight initiatives, in collaboration with
the Vice Chair and Director of Research. Works with Director of
RFMH for 10-15% effort on research related administrative projects,
including but not limited to maintaining administrative databases,
grant related financial forecasting, preparing data and analytic
reports and other items as requested. Lead efforts to respond to
inquiries and requests from external agencies regarding research
activities and compliance measures, in collaboration with the Vice
Chair and Director of Research as well as the leadership team.
Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and institutional
policies. Review and evaluate research protocols, procedures, and
documentation to identify potential risks, ensure adherence to best
practices, and promote quality research outcomes. Serve as a
resource and point of contact for the leadership team in seeking
guidance on project management-related matters, offering expertise
and solutions to support their efforts. Track the progress of
research projects, monitoring milestones, timelines, and resource
allocation to ensure adherence to project objectives and deadlines.
Compile and analyze data related to research activities, preparing
reports and presentations to communicate findings and updates to
the leadership team. Facilitate regular meetings with research
teams to review project status, address challenges, and identify
opportunities for improvement. Administrative Management: Oversee
the administrative aspects of research projects, including
coordinating meetings, preparing agendas, and documenting minutes.
Draft emails, memos, and other correspondence on behalf of the Vice
Chair related to research activities, ensuring clarity, accuracy,
and professionalism in communication. Assist in the preparation of
presentations, reports, and other materials for meetings,
conferences, and other events related to research initiatives.
Coordinate communication between the Vice Chair and
internal/external stakeholders, all the while gathering information
as needed. This would include, in collaboration with the Vice Chair
and Director of research, preparing and coordinating draft
responses to inquiries, audits, or inspections related to research
activities, ensuring timely and accurate submission of required
documentation. Maintain accurate and up-to-date databases of
research projects, protocols, and related documentation, ensuring
accessibility and confidentiality as appropriate. Assist in the
preparation and submission of regulatory documents. Serve as a
primary point of contact for the leadership team regarding
inquiries and requests from external agencies, such as regulatory
bodies, funding organizations, and accrediting bodies. Prepare and
deliver presentations, reports, and updates on research activities
to the leadership team, highlighting key achievements, challenges,
and strategic priorities. Provide insights and recommendations
based on project assessments. Engage with senior leadership to
address concerns, solicit feedback, and align research activities
with organizational goals and objectives. Perform Assigned Duties:
Fulfill any additional duties and responsibilities as assigned or
requested by the Vice Chair and Director of Research. Minimum
Qualifications: At least (3-5) years previous experience in project
management; or bachelor's degree At least (2) years experience
managing (4) or more concurrent projects, balancing competing
priorities and ensuring all deadlines are met Preferred
Qualifications: Master's degree or equivalent combination of
education and experience preferred. Demonstrated excellent level of
proficiency in the following competencies: Strong analytical and
problem-solving skills. Strong communication and leadership
