About the Chubb Tempest Re Chubb Tempest Re is the third-party
reinsurance arm of the Chubb Limited Group, with operations in
London, Hamilton (Bermuda), Stamford and Zurich. Chubb Tempest Re
USA writes all lines of traditional and specialty Property and
Casualty business for client in the US. Job Summary: Chubb Tempest
Re USA LLC is seeking a VP for its Reinsurance Claims Department to
contribute to the Company’s growing suite of Property and Casualty
products. Primary responsibilities will include appropriate
monitoring and auditing processes. You will work in a team
environment and demonstrate a strong customer focus that will
expand Chubb Tempest Re’s brand. This position is a full-time role
and reports directly to the SVP, Reinsurance Claims Manager,
located in Stamford, CT. Roles & Responsibilities, including but
not limited to: Managing a caseload of reinsurance claims for
Workers Compensation, General Liability, Property, Automobile,
Excess, and Umbrella. Communicating with brokers and client company
to gather claim information Developing a complete knowledge of
reinsurance insurance products (treaty, facultative and
semi-automatic). Determining treaty and policy coverage through
analysis of investigation data and treaty\\policy terms. Conducting
claim audits of new and run-off accounts (both remote and on-site
at ceding company’s office). Interacting with company actuaries,
underwriters, financial, and accounting teams on assigned accounts.
Attending reinsurance\\claims seminars. Assessing exposure and
establishing claim reserves and adjusting over the life of a claim.
Learning and applying the Sarbanes Oxley process and controls.
Analyzing claim spreadsheets for trends and exposure. Bachelor’s
degree or advanced degree. A minimum of 10 years of primary claims
experience. Bachelors’ Degree required; JD preferred. Strong verbal
and written skills. Able to navigate multiple systems. Strong
organizational, decision-making, and communication skills along
with the aptitude to grasp legal terminology. Proficient in
Microsoft Word, and Outlook. Proficiency in advanced Excel
functionalities, including: Strong knowledge of Pivot tables, data
visualization, and spreadsheet modeling techniques to analyze and
present financial data effectively. Solid Writing and Communication
Skills. Excellent organizational skills and ability to multi-task.
Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment Must be
able to think originally, be willing to challenge ideas and be
receptive to constructive feedback. Strong collaborative and
critical thinking skills and ability to thrive in a fast-paced,
entrepreneurial environment. Excellent organizational, desk
management and prioritization skills with the ability to work
independently and as part of a team. Must be positive,
self-motivated, and possess strong interpersonal, communication and
presentation skills. Possess strong technical, analytical, and
quantitative skills. Excellent oral and written communication
skills, ability to successfully negotiate in difficult situations
with agents and brokers. Solution oriented team player with a
strong relationship management skill set working with both internal
and external stakeholders and customers. Willingness and ability to
travel 15-20%. Ability to be onsite in office 5 days week. Chubb is
